In this interactive 1½ hour session we will focus on practical strategies and ideas for creating lively, inclusive classroom communities of readers with our school library being an essential resource to support literacy learning programmes.
If the school library is at the heart of a school’s reading culture, teachers are the backbone and have a crucial role in modelling, supporting, and encouraging reading for pleasure through their daily classroom practice. In this session, we will explore ways to nurture students’ love of reading, develop their reading skills and the growth of their identities as independent readers.
